An Online Community Manager is required for a major blue chip corporate organisation based in Melbourne. As an Online Community Manager, you will be responsible for fostering relationships with key social communities and the expansion of the online community base.

Working in conjunction with other key internal stakeholders, you will be the online voice of the organization, an evangelist for the brand. You will interact with customers to ascertain how they feel about the company and play a key role in influencing product development and marketing strategy by providing live feedback from the online community. You will be responsible for the management of social media campaigns, such as marketing messages delivered via Twitter and company fan pages on sites such as Facebook.

To be successful in this role, you must be a strategic thinker with the ability to lead and direct other people while using social media to create goodwill and increased market share for the company. Familiarity with online communities and social networking sites is a must. You will have a comprehensive working knowledge of Facebook, MySpace, YouTube, LinkedIn and other social networking sites and have worked in a similar role within a corporate organisation. You will have a strong background participating in all social media platforms and understand how to use social media to achieve business objectives.
This is a long term contract opportunity, which may lead to a permanent role for the right candidate.
